The rod from RtB Fortezza has made a name for itself especially among zander fishermen, with soft plastics. The main characteristics which are needed for such a rod is a high sensitivity blank with a powerful backbone, an extra-fast tip action and light weight.

All these are already well established in the Fortezza range. But as always, we strive to push the boundaries of what is possible, putting in “the extra mile” in order to reach extraordinary results.

The result is Fortezza TZ, the TZ obviously coming from the Titanium Torzite guides equipped on the rod, the revolutionary model produced by the worldwide leader in guide production, Fuji.

The Fuji Torzite are the pinnacle of rod guides up to this moment, aiming for the lightest possible weight, lowest line friction coefficient and a higher inner diameter compared to SiC alternatives.

Because the guides are key element in the construction of a rod, the difference between a rod equipped with SiC and one with Torzite guides, will be clear to the naked eye, the latter being considerably lighter, having a better balance, higher sensitivity, faster tip action and as a result, also farther casting lengths.

But the guides are not the only improvement which has been done, the rod is now equipped with the Fuji VSS reel seat, mounted on a full-carbon 3K grip, named Accoustic Handle Concept.

Unlike the standard EVA handle, this new single piece carbon monocoque handle has a similar resonance with the blank of the rod, giving a sense of unity between the two, unlike normal rods.

The rod is transformed into a fine tuned machine, transmitting every vibration from the lure to the angler, the most important detail in zander fishing.

The blank equipped on the rod is the same powerful one from the standard version, constructed with high-modulus 30T+46T Toray carbon. The first part of the rod is reinforced with an extra carbon lair that is “X” woven at a 45° angle (Cross x Weave).  This feature gives the rod incredible strength, which is very important when fighting a big fish. It allows the angler to play the fish much more safely and also control it better.
