The KingPin model is the lightest and most sensitive rod in the RtB Refuse To Blank rods range.
Developed over nearly 3 years with numerous changes during testing, this project culminated in a fast tip action, extremely light (only 55g for the 1.90m version), and well-balanced rod, designed to provide Ultra Light spinning anglers with the most enjoyable experience by the water!
To achieve these specifications, the manufacturer used the best components and materials available on the market today.
The guides are Fuji Torzite with titanium frames. You will find these guides on the exclusive rods of major top quality manufacturers. The materials used, titanium for the frame and the new type of Torzite ceramic for the inserts, reduce the weight of a set of these guides by up to 50% compared to classic SiC variants. The durability of the guides is very high, as both materials are among the toughest available on the market.
The rod blank includes T1100G carbon prepreg in its construction, supplied by the Japanese giant Toray. Until a few years ago, this type of carbon was prohibited for export, with Toray agreeing to deliver T1100G only for the Japanese domestic market. Characterized by strength and low weight, it can be said that the fishing rod industry has experienced a real revolution since this type of carbon began to be included in the manufacture of premium models.
The reel seat is Fuji Skeleton SKS2 made of carbon, mounted on a handle integrated into the blank to ensure that no vibrations are lost from the rod to the angler's hand. The conical shape amplifies these vibrations, similar to a tuning fork, allowing the angler to feel even the slightest touch of the lure at the end of the line. The rod's design minimizes the use of materials other than carbon, which have different densities and could affect the final resonance level.
The butt section is reinforced with carbon bands mounted at different angles to increase compression and torsion resistance, while also adding power to the lower part of the blank. You will notice that the rod works progressively in the fight with the fish, maintaining a considerable reserve in this reinforced area.
All metal components that could add weight to the rod have been eliminated without compromising the overall strength. The metal collars are made of aero aluminum and are anodized.
The rod is available in two length and power variants:
Length: 1.90m, casting weight: 0.5-5g, FAST action, equipped with a solid tip
Length: 2.13m, casting weight: 2-10g, FAST action, equipped with a tubular tip
Both variants come with a thick neoprene protective cover, and the tip is stored in a rigid tube inside the cover for additional protection.
