Stellar is a concept combining quality materials, with the versatility of a spinning rod.
We constantly hear from fishermen that they wish to have a rod to combine both fishing with soft plastics, as well as spoons, crank-baits, jerk-baits etc.
Especially when pike fishing, such a rod is an advantage, being able to quickly change from one type of lure to the others. Stellar is a model we highly recommend for this kind of fishing, being suitable for all types of lures wether using soft-baits or hard-baits, from jigging to cranking.
Structure-wise, the rod is created using a combination of 30T and 46T TORAYCA high-modulus carbon, from the world’s largest carbon manufacturer, Toray Industries Inc. The different types of carbon are used, to ensure the rod delivers the specified action.
Stellar has a fast tapered action, with a powerful backbone.
The rod’s long handle gives an edge while fighting bigger fish, while also providing a better two-hand grip for longer and more precise casts. While developing the rod, one of our main focuses was producing a rod which can balance as many sizes of reels as possible, without compromising the blank’s action.
The rod is equipped with Seaguide RSolution Titanium. The guides are the equivalent for Fuji’s Torzite, having similar properties. The inserts are 1.5 times lighter than classic SIC guides while also having a smaller friction coefficient. By comparison, they are up to 55% lighter than classic guides.
We chose to equip it as standard with the ALPS MVT RAPID SPIN Toray Carbon reel seat. Besides the exquisite ergonomic proprieties which have given it its popularity, this particular reel seat excels at sensitivity, constructed from the same Toray carbon, transmitting every signal from the blank, maximizing the chances for the fisherman to hook-up to each bite.
Lastly, the rod’s design is fabulous! The high quality cork on the handle perfectly combines with the glossy black, with metallic red inserts of the reel seat, merging further with the marine blue blank color. We tested lots of color combinations, until finding this perfect shade of watery blue, which comes to life once out in the sunlight!
